Great location to base your self for day trips to the regions unique scenic attractions, Stewart Island, Catlins, Riverton, Bluff and Fiordland. Moana Court Motel is a quiet Invercargill accommodation choice, located conveniently on State Highway 1, look for our large blue and white motel sign. Just 8 minutes drive from the airport. It is a 5 minute drive to the city centre where you can enjoy many bars, restaurants, retail shopping and cafes. Menu's for a number of restaurants are displayed in the room compendiums. Also have brochures for local takeway meal outlets at reception.

We are the only motel in Invercargill located next to Surrey Park, Stadium Southland - Invercargill's multi sport and entertainment centre.  New Zealand's only indoor velodrome located within this facility, is host to national and international cycling events.  Southlanders are very patriotic; we love to get behind our home team, so there's always a great atmosphere at sporting events.

We are also located a short distance from  Splash Palace - Southland Aquatic Centre which is open every day except Christmas Day.

 

Stewart Island

Either take a 30-minute drive to Bluff, and enjoy an hour's crossing on the Stewart Island ferry to the land of the glowing skies where nature dominates; or take a 20-minute scenic flight to this tranquil place. While there, check out Ulva Island, a birdwatcher's paradise. Brochures available at reception.

The Catlins

Southern Scenic Route
